Our 6-Step Concrete Coatings Application Process
Serving homeowners and businesses in Augusta, Evans, Grovetown, Martinez, North Augusta, Aiken, and the entire CSRA
A great-looking garage floor coating, pool deck resurfacing, or commercial kitchen floor starts long before the first drop of product hits the slab. Titan Concrete Coatings follows a time-tested, six-step system — built on industrial diamond grinding, premium polyurea, polyaspartic, epoxy, and urethane chemistry, and expert craftsmanship — to give you a surface that stays beautiful, slip-resistant, and easy to maintain for decades.
Step 1 – Surface Preparation
We mechanically diamond-grind every square inch of your concrete to create the manufacturer-specified concrete surface profile (CSP). This opens the pores of the slab so our coating can soak in and lock tight — no peeling, no bubbling.
Step 2 – Concrete Repair
Cracks, pitting, or spalling? We clean and profile damaged areas with grinders, shot blasters, and needle scalers, then rebuild them with our fast-curing polyurea concrete mender blended with silica quartz. The result is a seamless foundation stronger than the original slab.
Step 3 – Penetrative Basecoat
Next we squeegee and back-roll a self-priming polyurea/polyaspartic basecoat to the exact mil thickness your project requires. Because this resin penetrates deep into the concrete capillaries, it forms an inseparable bond that stands up to hot-tire lift, chemicals, and Georgia’s humidity.
Step 4 – Decorative Flake Broadcase
While the basecoat is still wet, we broadcast 100 % coverage of polymer chips or mica flakes. Choose from endless color blends — from subtle earth tones to bold commercial palettes — to create a granite-like look and built-in texture for extra traction.
Step 5 – Flake Reclaim & Profile
After the basecoat cures, we reclaim excess flakes, then cross-scrape the surface so every chip lies flat. This step ensures a uniform profile that welcomes our clear topcoat and leaves no sharp edges.
Step 6 – Clear Polyaspartic Topcoat
Finally, we apply a UV-stable polyaspartic clear coat, cross-rolling for even coverage. This wear layer seals the system, locks out stains, and delivers a satin-to-gloss finish that cleans up with mild soap and water. Most projects are ready for light foot traffic in 24 hours and vehicle traffic within 7 days.
